A turn to the future: The Wheel of Fortune for GS1

GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg helps companies worldwide with standardized systems to optimize their supply chain and make product information transparent. For their exhibition stand they wanted an interactive way to draw attention to the Digital Product Passport (DPP). Our solution? A custom-made Wheel of Fortune!

A game to learn

The Digital Product Passport is a step towards a circular economy, in which product information is shared in a uniform way. Our Wheel of Fortune helps trade fair visitors understand how the DPP works and what benefits it offers in a playful way. By spinning the wheel, visitors discovered the role different stakeholders, such as producers, retailers, consumers and recyclers, play in the life cycle of a product.

The cardboard wheel

When designing the wheel, user-friendliness and visual appeal were central. A smart mechanism ensures that the front always remains readable, while the back moves. Icons and short texts clarify the impact of the DPP, from product information to recycling instructions. Thanks to the reusable cardboard design, the wheel fits perfectly with GS1's sustainability vision.

Interaction and awareness

The Wheel of Fortune became a real crowd puller at the fair. Visitors actively worked on the concept and gained immediate insight into how standardized data contributes to a more efficient and sustainable supply chain. This playful approach allowed GS1 and their visitors to discuss the future of product data in an accessible way.
